Metal Detailer Draftsman

TCB Industrial is looking to add an experienced Metal Detailer Draftsman to our team. The Draftsman will be the fundamental link in communication between design and plans to determine type and extent of products required on each project.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• ·         Candidate primarily has to study the rough sketches and deciphering the specifications asked for by Project Managers and or Engineering.

  ·         Candidate has to prepare the drawings with high precisions and as per scale.

  ·         It will be the responsibility to incorporate all details of the drawing.

  ·         Candidate has to prepare the drawings according to the standards and terms

  ·         Candidate needs to store all the drawings required in an organized manner

  ·         Solidworks and AutoCAD draftsman skills and specifications:

  ·         The skills and specifications required for the job of an AutoCAD draftsman are as follows:

  ·         Candidate must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software and be proficient in the use of it.

  ·         Candidate should be able to understand rough sketches.

  ·         The person needs to have good observation skills to observe things carefully.

  ·         Candidate needs to have reasonable knowledge about construction and designing principles and steel shapes.

  ·         Candidate should be able to submit work on time.

  ·         The person needs to be an excellent learner to learn the basics of whichever drawing candidate is asked to make.

  ·         Candidate needs to have the team working skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

  ·         Solidworks and/or AutoCAD draftsman education and qualification

• Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must have knowledge of welding, forming, metal fabrication, and basic machining processes.
  • Must be able to interpret drawings.
  • Knowledge of steel, aluminum, and stainless.
  • Strong Math skills
  • Strong verbal communication and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Must be detailed orientated, consistent follow up is a must
  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems.

• Experience/Education:
  • 3 to 5 years working experience running Solid Works or AutoCAD is required.
