Shop Hand / Truck Driver

TCB Industrial is currently seeking a Full-Time Shop Hand / Truck Driver to join our Warehouse team in Modesto, CA

This role will primarily help with the upkeep of the shop but will also include some truck driving tasks and duties.

Efficiently transport a wide range of items to or from job-sites and can include vendor pick-ups.

Responsibilities

Shop Helper Role

• Cleaning tools
• Maintaining shop cleanliness
• Assisting with vehicle schedule maintenance
• Truck Driver Role

• Transport and deliver goods in accordance with a schedule, including emergency, rush deliveries or pick-ups that require overtime.
• Verify the count and condition of transported items, reporting any damage as applicable.
• Assist in secure loading and unloading freight as required.
• Assure that loads are within weight limits.
• Operate truck in a safe manner.
• Report any vehicle problems or defects to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain vehicles in a manner that projects positive company image to customers and the general public.
• Maintain a good driving record for minimum of 5 years with a Class C Drivers License.
• Be responsible for reporting any damages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Valid Class C Drivers License and skill in safely operating different types of trucks are required
  • At time of hire, driving record will be conducted and required

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
